Clearpoint Health Network FAQ

How can Clearpoint help the public healthcare system?

Public hospitals are overloaded with patients who need routine surgical procedures resulting in long wait times. By contracting these surgeries to Clearpoint, wait times are shortened and public hospitals have more resources available to focus on emergent and high-risk procedures.

What makes Clearpoint qualified to take on these surgeries?

Clearpoint Health Network partners with experienced, fellowship-trained physicians who are specialists in common, high-demand procedures. We source the highest quality equipment and the latest technology available for optimal safety and efficiency.

How does it work?

A public-private partnership agreement allows Clearpoint to relieve some of the pressure on the public healthcare system by performing select elective surgeries. We partner with provincial public health authorities and Workers’ Compensation boards (WCB) by offering independent surgical services at our facilities across Canada. Approximately 90 per cent of our patients receive surgical services through these partnerships.

How do you ensure patients receive quality care?

Providing quality care is our top priority. We have invested in a Quality Assurance (QA) program designed to increase value for our partners. This QA program will be deployed nationally to ensure all facilities are focused on consistent metrics and are continuing to provide the highest quality care. Our collaborative culture encourages centres to work together and share best practices across the network to ensure consistency and continuous improvement.

Why work for Clearpoint Health?

We are committed to ensuring staff members feel like they are supported, valued, and listened to. We view our employees as important assets to be nurtured, and we consistently encourage them to do their best.

  • Physicians: There is a strong opportunity and demand for physicians to work in both the public system and with Clearpoint, thereby improving the lives of a greater number of patients.
  • Nurses: Our nurses appreciate flexible, consistent, Monday through Friday shifts.

At Clearpoint, we strongly encourage team collaboration. Our operations and medical teams support each other through troubleshooting and national best practice sharing to ensure every facility is upholding our promise of providing exceptional surgical care to our patients.
